Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: April 12, 2026
Our Commitment
WCAG Repair is committed to ensuring that our website and services are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. As a company that helps others achieve web accessibility, we hold ourselves to the same standards we recommend to our customers.
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across all pages and features of wcagrepair.com.
Standards We Follow
Our accessibility efforts are guided by the following standards and best practices:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — our primary conformance target
- WAI-ARIA 1.2 — for accessible rich internet applications and dynamic content
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act — U.S. federal accessibility requirements
- EN 301 549 — European accessibility standard for ICT products and services
Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following accessibility features throughout our website:
Navigation and Structure
- Skip-to-main-content link on every page
- Semantic HTML5 landmarks (
header, main, nav, footer) with appropriate ARIA roles - Logical heading hierarchy (h1 through h6) on all pages
- Breadcrumb navigation with ARIA labels
- Keyboard-accessible navigation menu with visible focus indicators
Visual Design
- Color contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Information is never conveyed by color alone — icons, text labels, and patterns supplement color indicators
- Responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%
- No content that flashes more than three times per second
Forms and Interactive Elements
- All form inputs have associated labels
- Error messages are descriptive and programmatically associated with their fields
- Interactive elements are keyboard-operable and have visible focus states
- ARIA live regions announce dynamic content updates (scan progress, results loading)
Content
- Meaningful alt text on all informational images
- Decorative images marked with
aria-hidden="true"or empty alt attributes - Link text that describes the destination or purpose (no "click here" links)
- Page language declared in the HTML
langattribute - PDF remediation guides generated with tagged structure for assistive technology compatibility
Testing and Evaluation
We evaluate the accessibility of wcagrepair.com using the following methods:
- Automated scanning — regular audits using our own WCAG scanning engine (axe-core based) and Lighthouse
- Manual testing — keyboard-only navigation testing, screen reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver), and high-contrast mode testing
- Browser compatibility — testing across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge with assistive technologies
- Code review — accessibility checks as part of our development process
Known Limitations
While we strive for full conformance, we are aware of the following areas where we are actively working to improve:
- PDF remediation guides — AI-generated PDF content may have inconsistent tagging in some sections. We are working to improve the structure and tagging of generated documents.
- Third-party content — some embedded content from third-party services (Stripe payment forms) may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control. We select providers that demonstrate accessibility commitment and report issues to them when identified.
- Dynamic scan results — complex data tables in scan results are continuously being improved for screen reader compatibility. Tables include headers and scope attributes, but presentation of deeply nested issue hierarchies is an ongoing area of improvement.

We take accessibility feedback seriously. If you encounter any barrier that prevents you from using our website or services, please let us know so we can fix it.

Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is not a one-time effort. We regularly review and update our website to address new content, features, and evolving accessibility standards. This statement is reviewed and updated at least annually, or whenever significant changes are made to the website.
We believe that improving web accessibility benefits all users, and we are committed to leading by example in the accessibility space.
