Why you received an email from us
You're here because you got an email from compliance@outreach.wcagrepair.com and wanted to check that it's legitimate. It is. Here's the full story, in plain terms.
Yes, this is a real email from a real company
WCAG Repair is a website accessibility scanning and remediation service based in Lake Forest, California. compliance@outreach.wcagrepair.com is an address we use to contact website owners. It isn't spoofed, and this isn't a phishing attempt.
Why we emailed you
We run automated scans of publicly accessible websites against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA) — the standards referenced by the ADA in the U.S. and similar laws elsewhere. When a scan flags issues on a site, we email the owner to let them know and offer a report explaining how to fix them.
That's all the email is: an offer for a paid service you're free to accept or ignore.
What this email is not
- We are not a law firm. We don't send demand letters, we aren't threatening to sue you, and our email doesn't mean a complaint has been filed against your site.
- We have no access to your website. Our scanner reads only the same public pages any visitor can see — we can't log in, change anything, or view private data.
- You don't have to do anything. If it isn't useful, ignore it or unsubscribe.
How to stop receiving emails
We honor opt-outs immediately. Either click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we sent you (one click, no login), or email privacy@wcagrepair.com or support@wcagrepair.com and ask to be removed.
